Synopsis

This session started with the party in an interview with the Queen of the Kobolds deep inside the Dred Chasm, in what they have surmised to be the ruins of Castle Dred on a special request from the Elf King of Vilhaven.

After words, while trying to figure out what they just learned from the Queen, the party had Meepo, their unwilling Kobold guide take them to where the goblins had taken the clans dragon to(a direct order from the queen was neccesary) with a pledge taken to return the beast. Passing down the pillared hallway the group, led by Meepo(who is trying desperately to stay out of Khazag's way) reached a door which Meepo had a 'bounder'(Kobold Guard) unlock and open. Silvin, pressing ahead bravely was checked just in time by Meepo who warned of a pitfall hidden in the floor and telling how to avoid it. At this, the party grew cautious, and though finding nothing but rat droppings in the hallway, drew weapons and readied themselves for a fight.

The next door, Silvin opened in an entirely different manner, though the rest of the Party offered quiet reasurances that he was more than amply protected in his Full Plate Armor. Opening the door in one smooth motion and stepping aside to peer around the corner Silvin looked into a small room filled with junk and refuse, as well as six goblin gaurds sleeping around the room in various stages of wakefulness. Upon Realizing there were baddies in the room ahead of him, Gim strode right past Silvin and into the fray.

Taken completly off guard, the goblins a)lost initiative automatically b)are flatfooted(or lying down) and c)are unarmed. It got ugly fast.

Gim, fighting with his trusty twin axes took two steps into the room and in one motion bent and took the head off the goblin to his right and turning the barely awake goblin's chest to his left into a sticky mess.

Gavel, rushing behind his friend, leaped over the stooped Dwarf, thanking the fates the maker of the Castle favored high ceilings, and bringing his sword down on the hammock directly in front of him, ending that goblins life in a gurgled squeel. Of course, Gavel continued his momentum to his right, taking out a very angry goblin who was trying to get up and his more terrified friend who had been next to the Gobline Gim had decapitated, and who's head was still bouncing of the wall and floor.

The sixth and sole remaining Goblin managed to grab a rusty short sword and get to his feet, before a carefully aim shot from Juno's longbow (avoiding Gim, Silvin's head, and Gavel) in the next room hit him in the chest and threw him back into bed.

The combat was over before it had begun, and a dissapointed Khazag was heard to ask "What no more?" Meepo gleefully began kicking the barely concious Gobbo who while clutching at the arrow in his chest could do nothing to avoid the blows. Gim and Silvin moved to the rescue, while at the same time telling Meepo about painfull cicumstances surrounding his further mistreatment of future prisoners. Though Silvin tried to bind the wound and question the goblin through Meepo, all he got was the reply "My big brothers will get you....." after which he lost conciousness, and quickly faded into death.

The group was not pleased by this, and were doubly cautious after searching the goblins and opening the door on the North face of the room. Discovering a smoky, haze filled hall which details were nearly impossible to make out, the group was hesitant to move into the room. When voices were heard through the west wall close by, some lower and richer than any Goblin had a right to be making, the Party took another carefull look around and backed quietly out of the hall, back into the what now resembled a slaughterhouse.

At this point time was frozen and people dispersed.
