We are having a tournament. In theory, there's a prize at the end. Come and watch.
Jae refused to give more information, so all I can say is that it starts after school on Tuesday, 2002-03-26.
All club and school behavioral rules are in effect. Mono-colour, with only one basic land type allowed. Deck must follow all Type 1, tournament rules as defined by Wizards of the Coast. Therefore, cards from the Unglued and Portal sets are not allowed, as well as all 'banned' cards. 'Restricted' cards are allowable at the amount of one per deck, for Mike Burns and others who begin counting at Zero, this means that Zero cards are allowed in the deck from the restricted list, just for being difficult. Each individual game will be as cut-throat as the participant players wish them to be, and in the case of a disagreement, squabble, altercation, caning, murder, or other interfering happenstance, a club officer shall act as a mediator, judge, and referee. Proper turn sequence is encouraged.
Prizes will be awarded to the top two contestants, as well as the lowliest maggot who dared challenge the others. As an added incentive and bonus, the best theme idea built into the deck shall win a prize. To clarify, all participants in the Tourney shall vote on this matter, and in the case of a tie, all others present shall cast their votes on the matter. If that still remains a tie, then any remaining teacher left inside the Wakefield Memorial High School is thereafter approachable and ask-able to vote on the matter. 10 minutes is the maximum allottable time for said purpose. If after these three rounds it still remains a tie, no one wins and Jae gets to keep his money. Abstaining is allowed as per the club rules on voting.
